In-grown toenail?

I think I'm getting an in-grown toenail on my left big toe. What is the best way to remove it: hacksaw, chainsaw, ice pick, or something else? Don't say doctor! That's an evil word.In-grown toenail?
the best way to remove it is to go get a pedicure.. it's ok if you are a guy.... most guys get them done too.. go to the nearest nail salon and tell them that you want a pedicure.. when they are cutting or filing down your toe nails.. tell them that you have an ingrown toe nail that you want them to take it out... it might be painful though... i did it to most of my customers and they are very satisfied with the results.. it doesn't hurt them anymore.... but not all nails tech.. know how to do this... so be sure to ask them b 4 you get on the pedicure chair.. hehe.. it is really easy to remove if you have the right equipment...In-grown toenail?
you`re welcome.. btw... did u know that doctor may over charge you??? cause it true.. hehe

Panti-sl is correct. But - if you are saying what I've heard other say - it's too deep and painful - then you just might have to go see that (as you call it) ';evil'; doctor.

The doctor will deaden the pain with a local, and cut down the nail and then easily pull it straight out of the skin as if it were a big splinter. The way the doctor will cut the nail and sometime a medicine to deter regrowth will get your nail growing in correction way again and you can start feeling better and walking on that toe again.
CAREFULLY use a nail file to help lift the nail over the skin where it is starting to grow in, then put a bit of cotton under the spot where your nail was trying to grow in...then, when you cut your toenails again, cut them straight across, so they don't become ingrown again.

if they are bad enough, then YOU MUST see a podiatrist
Just use nail clippers and clip down the nail.
You may also try not wearing any closed in shoes, flip-flops all the way!
