Ingrown toenail problem?

i went to a podiatrist and said we were going to do a ';partial matricectomy'; on my toenail. I was wondering if my toe will look like crap after the surgery or will it be hard to tell i ever had a surgery at all?Ingrown toenail problem?
For a few weeks the toe will look kind of weird but after it is totally healed you will not be able to tell it was even done. The podiatrist will just remove the side of the nail that is ingrowing, you will still have the rest of the nail, and he/she will not remove that much.





Cutting a V in the center of the nail does not work. Your nails do not grow from the sides, they grow form the back, at the root. Don't see a manicurist about a pedicure either. Sometimes their instruments are not sterilized as they should be and infections can occur.





Go back to the podiatrist, he/she will remove the nail correctly. Be sure to follow their instructions to help prevent infection and other problems.

Before you go, try out a manicurist or whatever those ladies who work on peoples nails are called. I had mine taken for surgery, both toe's had ingrown toenails at the time but the doctor said he could only work on one at a time, the end result was that the nail he worked on, now has a separate bit growing out of it that i have to trim sepaately from the main nail. I took the other nail to a local salon where some lady told me to come back every five days or so, so she could trim it and the nail turned out fine after a month.
NO! ! ! ! ! ! ! DONT DO SURGERY THERE IS A SIMPLE EASY SOLUTION TO A INGROWN TOE NAIL PROBLEM OK FIRST U HAVE TO CUT THE CENTER OF UR NAIL INTO A .......V...... SHAPE THEN WAIT TILL IT GROWS BACK THE NAIL GROWS IN THE DIRECTION IT WAS CUT SO THERE FOR IT WILL GROW FROM THE SIDES AND THE NAIL WILL STOP GROWING FROM THE SIDES.... U GET IT ???? WRITE ME IF U GOT ANY QUESTIONS
I had both of my big toenails done. Its painless and actually really cool to watch! Your toenail wont look any different. They just cut the side of it out so it doesnt grow back into your skin. After having mine done it does take forever! to grow my big toenails out. But there fine :)
I'm not so sure about the medical term, but I had the same problem, and it took months for my toe to look normal again, because they cut off part of your nail. But, it beats the infected, painful look, right?
I didnt know toes could be incest are they related?
